The Division of Food Security, Natural Resources, the Environment and Sustainable Development is responsible for the preservation and sustainable management of the island’s natural resources, as well as the marketing and distribution of indigenous agro-based products of Tobago. Further, the Division is charged with the responsibility of improving agricultural production and promoting agriculture as a viable business in Tobago, through the delivery of a number of services.
Vision
A revived (market-led) Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry and Food (AFFF) industry that produces safe and healthy foods with a sustainable environment that contributes to food security and economic development using technologically driven approaches.
Mission
To ready the Division’s stakeholders to more successfully manage and realize positive returns from their investment of resources and efforts, by providing them with critical information, technical advice, training and other policy and development support.
